In the Beginning~

It all begins with the word, most especially one single word.

If I only focus on one word as my meditation and personal practice so many changes miraculously occur in my life… but I have to be deeply devoted to this word and to all that it entails for it to truly work its wonders.

Maybe I want something to come into being. Maybe I want more than I’m currently experiencing in my life, my relationships, my body, or my business…

or maybe I have a colorful, creative project in mind that’s been tapping at my door, asking me to share it with the world. Whether I understand what it’s all about or not… it’s calling for me and full of unexplainable light.

I have many of these inspirations and life-giving visions.

Maybe you do too…

maybe that’s why you’re here, having devoted yourself to your current business vision, saying “yes” as boldly as I have to bring imagination to life… saying “yes” to whatever it takes to move the vision into being, saying “yes” to make it a reality.

You probably know all about these kinds of dreams and visions for being a business owner yourself. They’re the kinds that speak to you regularly, call to you, and show up in your daydreams or night-time dreams… they cause your mind to wander from the other things you tell yourself you “should” be doing, and they give you a sense of meaning, excitement, unexplainable optimism, or perhaps a light of hope where all else has felt flat and hopeless.

I’ve had these inspirations and visions throughout my life and at the time they hit me I rarely know what they’re all about…

I only feel that they’re essential for a reason I can’t explain…

and to know that reason in the moment isn’t the point… it’s not what’s most important.

What IS most important is to surrender and follow without getting in my own way (or letting stubborn pessimistic thoughts or petty excuses get in the way) because the reason is revealed with time and in the very act of following the inspiration or vision life becomes immediately richer

more interesting

more meaningful

more purposeful

more full of the wonder and mystery that I crave yet so easily lose sight of if I play it safe and ignore or doubt my sense of calling…

if I fail to trust that the calling and the vision is good and worthy of giving my energy to.

Whatever it is that I want more of in my life experience… it begins with one word:

YES”.

Almost absurdly simple, right?

From “yes” it all flows… with the words that follow, the words I feed my receptive and hungry mind, and the actions that result from the power of those words, bringing something finite into being.

It’s not necessarily easy saying “yes” though at surface level it seems like it should be (pretty much depending on how much I resist what comes up after I speak the word). It requires a courageous inner force in the decision to follow the “yes” (to trust it!)… and the majority of that is the work of my mind, my thoughts, and my attitude (the physical actions are incredibly easy in comparison once the mind is on board).

However, “yes” is the key ingredient… it’s what makes the impossible possible (even when I want to say “no” out of procrastination, hesitation, self-doubt, or fear… all the ways I can sabotage my inspiration and vision).

Everything begins with a whole-hearted willingness (despite resistance or fearful hesitation) to simply say “yes” to all that I want out of my life experience…

…and the same applies to you in everything that you want for yours.

I know this sounds outright silly. It sounds too easy, even trite. I used to think this kind of positive thinking was total nonsense for the delusional, or perhaps for the depressed and desperate (which… yeah okay, we’ve probably all been there before and wanted some positive affirmations to escape the misery, but that’s beside my point right now).

Experimenting with using an unshakeable decision of “yes” in the areas where I’ve had visions and a deep sense of desire or calling has changed my life dramatically, so it’s easy to have faith in it working wonders. I’ve seen its magical touch on my life and that of my clients and friends who’ve embraced the practice, also.

When you use positive, life-giving words in your mind and feed yourself optimistic and hopeful messages along with taking necessary actions after saying “yes”, you cause yourself to succeed in the face of fear (because fear is only trying to help protect you after all, to keep you “safe”, so to expect that it should just disappear is completely unhelpful and unrealistic).

Living with the bravery to say “yes” to what you want is not about being free from your negative thoughts and doubt (they truly don’t matter in the end…they’re just a grand test,) but recognizing them for what they are and moving forward anyway, saying to yourself again and again, and again:

“Yes, yes, yes”.

It doesn’t take a genius or anyone perfect at what they do to succeed at creating what lies inside their personal vision… but it does take a person who is willing to think positively, a person who holds tight to their dream, who won’t give up when doubt sets in… someone willing to correct their thinking, who can choose to believe in and listen to the positive thoughts over the negative… and who can return to saying “yes” even after giving up and falling into doubt.

So much is possible

so much that you dream of and want

whether it comes into being or not lies very largely in your ability to continually say “yes” over and over and over again in the face of all the parts of you that want to give up, or to sabotage your vision by saying “no”.

So… here we are… taking risks, and following the dream, creating a little more heaven on earth with our visions… practicing the practice of saying

“Yes…yes…yes”.

Warmly,

~Alyne (keep living your “yes”) Rose
